++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This is an ISDN least cost router for linux/unix based on shell scripts with shell dialogs ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
It's a bit like SmartSurfer from web.de except for you have to add internet service providers by hand because no one makes an adequate database available in the internet (do you know where to get one? let me know!). You add your favorite ISP's to the database and the script cares for you about the day (weekday or weekend) and the hour. It shows you the providers in the database sorted according least costs. Just choose one ISP and the script will connect to the internet via that provider. All this works graphically but without the need of an Xserver running. If you have an Xserver running, xisdnload will show up and indicate the status of the connection. For further details see the howto. If I find some time, i will try to rewrite this for modem connections too. If you would like to have this for modems, please let me know.
